Our History

O.Z. was founded in 1995 and is one of the largest independent BAS integrators in Western PA. With our 40+ employees - many of whom have been with us for over 20 years - we have deep expertise installing large, complex BAS systems with multiple points of integration (HVAC, lighting, metering, surveillance, etc.). Our primary focus is on quality, which is why we perform all parts of a BAS installation on our own, including the electrical installation.

Niagara Expertise

We have been exclusively installing non-proprietary Tridium Niagara building automation systems for over 14 years and have the region's largest Niagara installed base with over 150 active customers. Our customers include many of the largest colleges and universities, regional school districts and hospitals in our markets. In addition to installing new systems, we have grown particularly strong at converting legacy proprietary systems into non-proprietary Niagara systems while keeping most of the existing equipment in place.

Customer-First Attitude

Many of the larger companies in our industry sell proprietary systems and establish vendor lock-in, which can lead to friction over the 20+ year life of the system. We exclusively sell non-proprietary systems that can be serviced by other integrators, and thus we have to work hard to maintain our customer relationships. In addition to providing great service to our customers, we have invested heavily in our graphics and monitoring tools, putting more power in our customers' hands.
